Residential Account Manager
Collaborate with sales management to implement our sales strategy to establish residential retail clients and present the Benefit Electric opportunity to membership based organizations.
Duties include direct sales, customer service, cold calling, pitching the business to a group, and implement the Benefit Electric fundraising program in each new client’s environment, initiate and follow up on sales process to gain new clients, assist management to document detailed project specifications, Maintain knowledge on all applicable pricing and value added products and services.
- Develop client network by direct selling to membership based organizations.
- Make outbound customer phone calls based on sales campaigns and assigned customer lists.
- Meet or exceed company sales and client service objectives including prospecting, call reports, accurate data recording and training.
- Use a variety of techniques, including company lead list and geographic prospecting to identify potential residential electric clients.
- Contact the prospect, present the sales pitch, overcome objectives, compare offers and close the client.
- Continuously initiate and follow up on the sales process.
- Work with management to refine sales strategy to optimize efficiency and results.
- Work with management in resolving barriers to generating new clients.
- Maintain accurate and timely client information with sales management operations team.
- Work with organizations to ensure client accounts are managed efficiently, and accurately resolve client issues in a timely manner.
- Attend tradeshows, events, and assist other account managers in closing deals or servicing clients as needed.
- Remain current on competitive intelligence and energy industry trends.
- Ensure an accurate & timely process for maintaining client contract information & pricing.

Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business marketing or (experience equivalent) preferred.
- 3-5 years of job related experience
- 1-2 years experience selling energy products or services, preferred.
- Knowledge of the Texas energy market structure preferred
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, persuasion and negotiating skills
- Skill in using a variety of techniques and methods to assess client needs and close deals
- Adhere to business and social ethical standards
